Mark Gothoni


Finnish violinist Mark Gothoni is an internationally recognized chamber musician and soloist. He also serves as a professor of violin at the University of the Arts Berlin and teaches at master classes around the world. His most influential teachers include Ana Chumachenco, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Sandor Vegh.

As the first violinist of the Orpheus Quartet and a member of the Mozart Piano Quartet, he boasts an extensive discography, with several recordings winning international awards. Gothoni is a prizewinner of various international competitions and has held the position of concertmaster with renowned ensembles, such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, and the European Union Chamber Orchestra.
